Do your students want to move beyond basic data presentation and analysis? Do students want to become investigators and harness the power of big data, with presentation and geo location tools?

Google Fusion Tables is one of the most exciting new tools Google offers and provides advanced data visualization linked to your Google Drive.

This interactive workshop will introduce Google Fusion Tables (Beta) and how to locate and use open data sources to answer questions and create stories around data sets.

- Locating open data sources
- Importing data to Google Fusion Tables
- Merging tables and handling Geo data
- Formatting maps and charts in Fusion Tables

Bring along your laptop to participate and learn to create your own intensity maps or analysis of large data sets.
(Please note you will need a personal Google account as Fusion Tables is not yet supported through Google Apps Edu accounts).
