Google Apps were made for the digital-age classroom. Whether an interested newbie or a seasoned techie looking for a way to tie all you do together, the Digital-age Classroom: Get in the Game session has something for you.

Based on the constructivist principles of learning by doing and learning through collaboration, this session will address the use of a Google site to start (or further) the development of:

  • your digital skill set
  • your digital footprint
  • your understanding of “flipped” class practices
  • your understanding and application of both digital storytelling and visual literacy
  • your understanding of connectivism and personal learning networks

How far you go depends on you as this is a go-at-your-own pace session. The website will remain open so your learning need not stop here.

We will explore basics of:

  • Google Sites
  • Google Drive
  • Google Presentations

The Google Site will be your sandbox, ready-to-use come Monday in your own classroom.

The Google Drive skills will make your site better.

The other skills and understandings developed will last you a lifetime.
