I have been teaching at an international school in Beijing for the best part of the last 20 years. For the past 2 years, I have been a tech coach, and my duties include helping our teachers make the most of their iPads.
Coming from an upper ES background, where the students blog constantly, I quickly realized this was a missing element in the lower school and through the use of Easy Blog Jr (the sister app of Easy Blogger Jr) helped our lower school teachers create online spaces where their students could share their learning . In less than one year, the students in KG classes created on average over 400 posts per class - that's about 20 per child. Unfortunately because Google Blogger is blocked in China we do not have access to it, almost everything we do on our self hosted WordPress platform is replicable on Blogger.
